Head of Investment Strategy

Charles Ecalle

Charles is a founding partner of Alumia, heading the firm's investment strategy. He has over 20 years of investment experience.

Charles is a founding partner of Alumia and the Head of Investment Strategy, responsible for sourcing investment solutions and providing due diligence oversight.

Charles is a seasoned investment and business professional with 20 years of experience. Prior to Alumia, he was Head of Absolute Return funds from 2013 to 2019 managing liquid multi-asset portfolios and Head of Risk at Tailor AM from 2019 to 2021. Prior to joining Tailor AM, Charles was member of investment committee at Amundi Private Equity Fund and managed several private equity funds as well as quantitative researcher at Société Générale, leading a team of econometricians from 2004 to 2007. He began his career in 2001 as a fixed income and currency trader for JP Morgan.

Due to his significant experience investing in liquid and illiquid assets, financial data and risk management, Charles has successfully advised Ultra High Net Worth clients, family offices, hedge funds and provided strategic advice to asset management groups.

Charles holds a Master’s in Management from NEOMA Business School and an International Master's in Business Administration from Cox Business School (Southern Methodist University) and completed the Harvard Business School Online Certified Program in Alternative investments. Driven by an infinite curiosity for everything, he loves trading, foods and wine, and sports.

CEO

David Saab

David is a founding partner and the CEO of Alumia. He has over 15 years of experience at major financial institutions across the wealth and asset management industry.

David is a founding partner and the CEO of Alumia.

David is a successful serial entrepreneur in different businesses and has extensive experience in the financial industry. He started his career in January 2005 working in fixed income trading at JP Morgan. He then worked for Rothschild multi-asset solutions from December 2007 to June 2011, managing portfolios for international institutional clients and Ultra High Net Worth clients. He rejoined JP Morgan in 2011 and became one of the youngest Managing Directors in the private bank while also elected Fixed Income personality of the year in the United Kingdom in 2017. In 2018, David cofounded Aperture Investors, a new asset manager aiming to disrupt the industry, in which Generali Investments committed a $4 billion seed investment.

David acts as an advisor to institutional investors and family offices around the world. He successfully worked on very complex transactions in different sectors, helping principals sell or restructure their businesses. He is co-founder of clean earth acquisitions corp. a Nasdaq listed company.

David holds a MSc in Finance from Audencia Nanters and an MBA from Georgia State University. He also attended the MIT program on Innovation and Technology. David is a passionate global citizen who likes making meaningfully impact in all his pursuits.

Head of Investments Marketing

Evita Kallitsi

Evita is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for the firm’s investment marketing strategy. She has over 12 years of experience in the wealth and asset management industry.

Evita is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for the firm’s investment marketing strategy and a member of Investment Strategy.

Prior to joining Alumia, Evita held a product specialist and sales role at Aperture Investors and she also spent 7 years at J.P. Morgan Private Bank on the Manager Solutions team conducting investment due diligence and research on mutual funds, both in London and New York.

Evita holds a BSc in Investments and Financial Risk Management from Cass Business School and an MSc in Management from Imperial College. Evita spends most of the year in Greece where she competes as a triathlete and marathon runner.

Managing Director of Investment Strategy

Kyle James

Kyle is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for sourcing investment solutions and due diligence for the firm's investment strategy. He has over 17 years of experience.

Kyle is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for sourcing investment solutions and providing due diligence oversight for Alumia's investment strategy.

Prior to joining Alumia, Kyle spent 17 years in the asset and wealth management industry, primarily at J.P. Morgan, where he worked in the London and New York offices. At J.P. Morgan, he led the due diligence and manager selection of equity fund managers and played a key role in the development of customised specialist investment solutions for private client portfolios. Following that, Kyle ran his own independent consultancy where he advised asset management groups on strategic initiatives with a focus on business development, manager due diligence, investment product development and strategy, and asset raising opportunities.

Kyle holds a BSc in Operations Research from Columbia University. An avid traveler, Kyle has lived in three countries and has travelled to over 40 countries in the world.

General Manager

Mark Bosquet

Mark is a founding partner of Alumia, acting as the General Manager and Conducting officer of the firm with more than 25 years of experience in the investment management industry.

Mark is a founding partner of Alumia. He is the General Manager and Conducting Officer.

Prior to joining Alumia, Mark spent 25+ years in the investment management and securities industry in Brussels, London, Luxembourg, Singapore, and Paris. Alumia is his second start-up in the financial industry, after a rich career focusing on product, risk management and compliance roles including as accredited Money Laundering Reporting Officer in a range of jurisdictions. After corporate roles at JP Morgan, Edmond de Rothschild, and the Deutsche Boerse Group, Mark has been active as a management consultant with CFO and regulatory filing mandates.

Mark holds degrees in business management from HEC Brussels and University of Angers, and completed Project Management courses at the University of Washington.
He likes creating new ventures, spends most of his free time in vibrant Asia, and is passionate about electronic music.

Head of Distribution

Matthieu Bath

Matthieu is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for heading the firm's global distribution. He has over 15 years of experience in asset raising.

Matthieu is a founding partner of Alumia and Head of Distribution for the firm.

He has over 15 years of experience in asset raising in Europe for Lombard Odier IM and BNY Mellon IM. Specifically, until 2016, Matthieu headed the distribution of all French speaking clients for BNY Mellon. He was also responsible for setting up and running their French office.

Matthieu has an outstanding track record of capital raising across asset classes from plain-vanilla to the most complex strategies including illiquid and liquid alternatives, and multi-assets wrapped in either UCITs and Offshore investment vehicles, or bespoke mandates.

Matthieu holds a BSc in Business & Management from Louis Pasteur University in Finance and Statistics, from DeMontfort University and MSc in Finance from Montpellier Business School. He is passionate about sports, travels, food & wine and most importantly his three daughters.

Head of Distribution Oversight

Namir Yeroham

Namir is a founding partner of Alumia, acting as the Conducting Officer and head of distribution oversight. He has 20 years of investment experience.

Namir has extensive experience in the Asset Management Industry and spent 7 years setting up the international distribution for Eurizon, the company group of Intesa Sanapaolo. He then moved into the Asset Services area, distributing the services of Fundsquare, a subsidiary of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, across Europe.
Namir has a degree in Finance from the Catholic University in Milano.

Director of Distribution & Advisory

Sumer Chopra

Sumer is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for international distribution and strategic advisory. He has been the lead SPAC expert in Luxembourg.

Sumer is a founding partner of Alumia, responsible for international distribution as well as a key member of the firm's strategic advisory. Prior to joining Alumia, Sumer founded the capital markets division at Mazars Luxembourg and was the lead SPAC Expert. He dominated the Luxembourgish SPAC market and helped make Mazars Luxembourg the leader in SPAC transactions in Luxembourg.

He also worked with the Corporate Finance division at Mazars, performing valuation for M&A transactions and specializing in the valuation of alternative assets such as VC, PE, and Real Estate. Sumer has expertise in Technology, Lifesciences, Software, and Automotive industries.

Sumer has advised several executives of top-tier financial institutions. He was previously involved in managing PE and Hedge Fund clients at Apex Fund Services and also worked in the Financial Crimes and Due Diligence division of EY India.

Sumer holds a BSc in Financial Markets from Mumbai University and an MSc in Financial Markets & Investments from SKEMA Business School, Paris, specializing in M&A and Private Equity. He is a mixologist, enthusiastic about whisky and wine, and an avid traveler, who loves to hike. Sumer enjoys Jazz and Hip-Hop music and is known to enjoy seasoned Cuban Cigars in the evenings.

Director of Distribution Benelux

Roger De Passe

Roger is a Director of Distribution of Alumia, responsible for distribution activities to institutional clients in the Benelux.

Roger is a Sales Director of Alumia, responsible for distribution activities to institutional clients in the Benelux.

He is a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience in business development in the European institutional space. Prior to joining Alumia, Roger held positions in the Fund Distribution business with AXA IM Benelux, Generali Investments, Standard Life Investments and Nordea Investment Funds where he was responsible for setting up and running the Belgian office.

Roger has an outstanding track record of capital raising and client servicing across asset classes ranging from traditional long-only, to multi-asset and alternative solutions packaged in pooled UCITs vehicles and/or bespoke mandates.

Roger holds a Master in translation from the Institut Libre Marie Haps in Brussels as well as in Business/Managerial Economics from Haute Ecole Groupe ICHEC- ISC Saint Louis - ISFSC, Brussels. With family and friends as core value, he is passionate about food & wine, sports (mainly tennis) and music.

Bruce Weatherill

Bruce is a Non-Executive Independent Chairman of Alumia, with over 40 years of experience in the global financial services industry.

Bruce serves as Non-Executive Independent Chairman of Alumia.
Bruce has over 40 years’ experience in the global financial services industry, providing a range of audit and consulting services to global financial service companies. Until 2008, Bruce was a partner at PwC in charge of a number of Asset Management and Wealth Management clients. During his time at PwC, Bruce was global leader of PwC’s Private Banking and Wealth Management practice. Since leaving PwC, Bruce set up Weatherill Consulting and provides consulting services to Wealth Management Companies around the world.
Bruce was until 2019 a Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Holdings (UK) Limited and Chairman of its Audit and Risk Committee. He is Non-Executive Director of ComPeer Limited and The All England Lawn Tennis Club and a Committee member. He is Chairman of JDX Consulting, ClearView Financial Media (WealthBriefing) and the Wisdom Council. He is a Non-Executive Independent Chairman of Ten Lifestyle Group. He has previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments Wealth Management Focus Group and regularly chairs Wealth Management conferences around the world.
Analyst

Chris Manikakis

Chris is an analyst of Alumia, responsible for providing insights and analytical support to the firm's investment strategy.

Chris is an Analyst of Alumia, responsible for providing valuable insights and analysis to support to Alumia's investment strategy team.

Chris started his professional career as an intern at Alumia and quickly distinguished himself through his hard work, commitment to personal growth and passion for investments. His pursuit of a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering provided him with strong analytical skills to successfully support in the due diligence of investments, portfolio analysis and investment recommendations for Alumia’s investment portfolios. Chris's strong interpersonal skills enabled him to work well in a team environment and lead projects that contribute to the success of the business.

Outside of work, Chris is passionate about sports, particularly football and basketball. He has been an active member of various teams, showcasing his teamwork and leadership skills on the field.

Naava was the CEO of New Health Era SA (March 2011- Dec 2013) led a team of 15 persons spanning three continents to develop an electronic health platform. Responsibilities included management, strategy and design, recruitment of members, managing cash flow.
